I don’t know if it’s ridiculously cliché that my favourite song in Les Mis is “One Day More” or not, but the harmonies (in this version) absolutely give me chills EVERY time. I have only seen the movie so far (don’t kill me Les Mis fans), so perhaps another song is way better in other versions (the 25th Anniversary is on my list of things to watch). Having all the characters come together for one song with all their personalities fleshed out just in a few lyrics each is just so amazing. Love love love this song, with “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” being a close second.
Been super digging this song and band lately. This song is originally sung with Zooey Deschanel, and their voices meld so perfectly, but this version is great - shows how wonderful he is live.
‘tis the Season.
Just finished writing my second essay of the past week, and “Statues” from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 soundtrack comes on in shuffle. Best way to finish my night, feels like I just concluded something very epic in nature. 2 more essays, one test, one debate, and I’m home free! :)
